Minimally Invasive Dental Implants

Dr. Chavez explains all the steps of dental implant treatment in detail.

What is a Dental Implant?
An implant is an artificial tooth root made of titanium. It is placed in the jawbone, and a crown, dental bridge, denture or a new set of porcelain teeth is attached. A dental implant looks, acts and feels very much like a natural tooth.Experienced and Knowledgeable Implant Dentistry

3D Preplanning = Minimally Invasive Treatment
First, Dr. Chavez will arrange for you to get a 3D dental CT scan, which provides a 360-view of your mouth and jaw. Using special 3D implant software, Dr Chavez will plan precisely plan your surgery ahead of time. This includes the exact angle and position of each implant and eliminates the need for exploratory surgery. If you need to have several implants placed at the same time, Dr. Chavez creates a surgical guide that is placed over your gums during the implant surgery. This makes the placement of your implants highly accurate and efficient. This use of 3D imaging and preplanning technology makes the surgery smooth and accurate. It also makes your treatment minimally invasive, thereby increasing your comfort.Insufficient Bone? No problem!
In the past, patients with insufficient bone could not receive dental implants, but thanks to modern bone grafting and bone augmentation techniques, this is largely no longer a problem. After a tooth has been extracted, Dr. Chavez adds bone grafting material to the socket to enhance the bone for implant placement. Sometimes patients lose a significant amount of bone in the upper arch and are in need of a sinus lift in order to ensure a successful implant placement. Dr. Chavez is experienced in this procedure as well.Top-Quality Materials for Beautiful New Teeth
Dr. Chavez uses top-quality materials for the implants and the replacement teeth they will support. Combined with accurate placement of the implants, this is the best guarantee for long-term successful results. Dr. Chavez uses only Zimmer Dental for his implants. Zimmer Dental, one of the top companies in the world, also pioneered hip and knee replacements.Options for Missing Teeth
Dental implants are the strongest and longest-lasting replacement for missing teeth. Here are some of Dr. Chavez’s recommendations to replace one or more missing teeth:Single Missing Tooth
If you need to replace a single tooth, Dr. Chavez can place an implant topped by a porcelain crown that is indistinguishable from a real tooth. A dental implant lasts longer than a traditional dental bridge and doesn’t require alteration to the adjacent teeth.Multiple Missing Teeth
When many teeth in a row are missing, Dr. Chavez may recommend an implant-supported bridge for stable, long-lasting tooth replacement.Benefits of Dental Implants
